Dr.
Nortier's Rooibos Museum was specially planned and designed to
fulfill the vision and dreams of Dr. Pieter Le Fras Nortier and to
give an in-depth insight into Rooibos Tea and the industry in all
its aspects to all visitors. Entrance is free, with complimentary
tea tasting, snacks, vital information and other necessary aids,
with ever-helpful staff just waiting to serve you.
The Museum itself is an ultra-modern facility tastefully designed
both
inside and out for pleasing aesthetic
appeal and heart-winning ambience. As you enter, you'll see the
foyer and Reception area which welcome you into
video, posters and literature that
give instant access to vital information and data on South
Africa's countless attractions. This area also introduces South
Africa through domestic household items, musical instruments,
weapons, armony, craft and textiles of native Africa, tastefully
displayed to take the public on a memorable journey into the
beauty, charm and history of South Africa.
Fronting the Kraal on its left is a beautiful Rock Garden with a
big portrait of South Africa's President, Mr. Nelson
Mandela. This section also takes you into the vision, life,
writings, photos and
the world of the Rooibos Museum and
Rooibos Tea. The left section leads to the Zulu Kraal or Native Hut.
Within are banks of info-terminals, informative
family of Dr. Nortier and how this
nature lover's discovery of the value of Rooibos, benefited the
